Wishlist #157

I have another wishlist for you, I hope you have enjoyed all my posts this week. It has been a little crazy getting ideas ready. But maybe I can do a whole month like blogtober or something. Now that would be so good. Okay stop talking. I wont be posting much as it is my birthday tomorrow (Monday!). I'll be back on Wednesday with a new post though.

Polishes Mentioned:
1. LA Colors - Flicker
2. LA Colors - Spat!
3. LA Colors - Mint
4. LA Colors - Illusion
5. LA Colors - Absolute

Why Do I Want These Polishes?
1. LA Colors - Flicker - This is such a crazy neon, so much so that you can't even see the writing on the bottle. It is so pretty and this would be perfect in the summer months. I would love to get this and I can't remember seeing any other yellow neons.

2. LA Colors - Spat! - This is another crazy orange. It looks so good through doesn't it. Imagine this with some nail art in the spring and summer months.

3. LA Colors - Mint - I am not really sure that this is classed as a mint. I think this looks like 'greenery' which is the pantone colour of the year. This does look so good, i have an odd feeling that it would come across as quite sheer.

4. LA Colors - Illusion - This is a really sweet looking lilac. It comes across more like a lilac when i looked at the swatch photos. I haven't seen a lilac like this actually it comes across as a blue toned lilac.

5. LA Colors - Absolute - Now this is what you call a neon pink. Wow I haven't seen a crazy pink like this for a while. It is so bright, imagine how good this would look when you have a sun tan. This is so pretty wow.

Season Picks | Winter 2017

Here is my winter picks, I am so late with this. I got this post eventually done. Sorry for this post being so late.

The first polish is Orly Snowcone, this is a beautiful blue nail polish. I absolutely love it and it is opaque in two coats. The next one is Models Own Starburst which is a beautiful glitter that was opaque in also two. I loved it because it looks like the nights sky with stars in. The next polish is Essie Virgin Snow, it probably isn't a winter polish but it was in a winter collection and has snow in the name ha-ha. I have Technic Seafoam, this is a really pretty deep green and this would be great for Christmas. Models Own Purple Orchid is next this is a deep plum/purple, worried it may be a stainer though. I then have Ciate London Baby, this is a very Christmas polish. That probably wont get opaque as it would be awful to get off. But its super pretty as a topper. I have China Glaze Star Hopping, why have I not worn this absolute beauty yet. It is a stunning blue. I have BarryM Mushroom which is my favourite brown nail polish of all time. I have W7 Its Christmas this is that Christmas polish. The last polish I have is Essence Frozen which is a stunning white glitter polish, I have a few ideas for this polish already.

TAG | Unpopular Opinions

Okay this post was meant to be posted months ago, I completely forgot about it and this is why I am only remembering now. I was tagged by the lovely Catherine over on youtube 'MrsCronall' If you want to do this tag I would love if you did.

1. A Popular Polish You Don't Like - I am not sure if this really counts as I don't actually own it. But it is OPI - Lincoln Park After Dark. This is a really strange polish, it is like a blood deep red. I am not into my reds so this wouldn't be the polish for me. To be honest I have seen a lot of swatches and they do look pretty on other people.

2. A Polish Everyone Hates But You Like - Mine would be bar glitter, yes that pet peeve of nail bloggers ha-ha. But I do love it, I can see why people don't like it when it sticks up and you get that really annoying scratchy thing on the nail. But I think I will be wearing a bar glitter soon.

3. A Nail Polish Finish You Don't Like - I think it will be matte nail polish. I tried AVON Grey Cement and I just couldn't work with it. I like to take my time applying but when you have to apply it super quick and that isn't for me. I am sure that it looks good but I found it was all patchy and just looked awful.

4. A Popular Brand That You Think Is Overpriced - I have to say Butter London. Most people actually said the same too. I have two polishes which funnily I am yet to use them. I got one at full price and then the other one I picked it up at TKMaxx.

5. A Trend You Can't Get On Board With - Chrome Powder, it kind of went a bit crazy over the stuff in the last couple of months. I am a patient person when it comes to doing my nails, but I don't think I would be able to keep up with that. It may look nice but I would be worried I'd completely mess it up.

6. A Trend You Didn't Like At It's Peak But You Do Now - Thermal and magnetic. I wasn't keen on the look of thermal polishes, I thought they looked odd. But I got one for my birthday last year and I loved it. I was fascinated at how it just changed. Magnetic is one I haven't really tried but I will be soon because it looks cool.

7. A Colour You Don't Wear Often Or At All - Red I really don't like the colour, I don't think it suits me that much. I am interested in picking up China Glaze Ruby Pumps. I do like the look of that, so I think I may pick that up.

8. A Polish You Think Is Overhyped - OPI Show Us Your Tips. I really like it actually but I was disappointed that it was pretty sheer. It is very pretty but I didn't realise how sheer it was, I love the colour as it such a unique one.

9. A Popular Top Coat You Don't Like - Mine has to be Seche Vite, I was so disappointed because it would smear especially when it did it to my nail art. It can be quite gloopy, I am still yet to find one I like.

10. A Nail Polish That Doesn't Get Enough Love - I think the Rimmel Gel polishes, the only one I have is Hottie Choccie. It was one of my favourite polishes of 2016.

Currently Wearing | #133

I am finally caught up with my currently wearing for the first time in forever wow! I cannot believe it, I probably have completely jinxed that now as I am taking part in a challenge next month.
I am wearing OPI I Sea You Wear OPI, this is from the brights collection 2015. I hadn't seen it before until I picked it up when I went to Sally's Beauty Supply. I of course looked at some swatches once I come home and I was impressed by it. This polish is pretty sheer an it needed three coats in the end, I was a bit worried as you could see a slight bit of my nail line. But you wouldn't see it that close up. It has a really metallic feel about this polish. I am glad I picked this one up and it looked really nice on my now shorter nails.

Haul | Glitter Baby Nails

I have a haul for you, I decided I wouldn't do separate hauls. They would only be if I bought a lot of polishes in one shopping trip. But this is a special haul so lets take a look at what I bought.

Glitter Baby Nails is a UK indie brand. A lovely girl called Emily who runs the company. First of all, the packaging is adorable. I absolutely love the little packets that it is kept in. If you wish to have a look at the instagram for all of the latest collection and whenever the polishes are coming out - @glitterbabynails. She has also branched out of just nail polishes and has a phone case and some adorable hair bands.

First of all I have water lily, I am a sucker for green polish you know that. It is beautiful and this will be worn in the spring. Toffee Apple is so beautiful this is such a perfect brown which you can wear in the autumn months. The next two is actually from her Game Of Thrones Duo, right I have never ever seen game of thrones in my life. Cersei is coming up quite pink in this picture, it is more of a mixture of a brown and a pink one. Daemerys is a light blue with a flash of shimmer running through it. Frozen is a stunning lilac with silver glitter running through it. I would love to know if this one is a textured polish.
I cannot wait to wear one of this soon, if you would like to check out where you can buy Glitter Baby Nails, then click this button and spend some of your money ha-ha. (HERE).

2016 | Nail Art Yearly Favourites

I am rather late posting these, oops. I am sorry I have had so many posts to upload in the month of January, that this post slipped my mind. But its better late than never aye. But here are my nail art favourites of 2016.

Collection - Jungle Fever (post here)
Now this was a recreation of the amazing NailsByJema on youtube, check her out! She is one of absolute favourites. It is a Christmas tree dotticure, how cool is that. I knew when I saw the design I just had to do it. The nail polish is also beautiful and green is one of my favourite colours.

Ciate - Knee Highs (post here)
This is my recreation from another one of my favourite nail artists OneNailToRuleThemAll. Again she is super talented. This is my version of the Frankenstein vampire. The polish I used is Ciate Knee Highs, I need this in a bigger bottle. It is beautiful. I also have to say the nail art isn't too shabby itself ha-ha.I am not the best at faces but I love it.

Orly - Orange Punch (post here)
This was my favourite nail art of the year I think. I had so many amazing compliments about this polish and how cute the pumpkins are. I love this orange and I need to use it more often. I tried to have a different face of the pumpkin but as you can see that didn't really work. But nonetheless I love it and I am so happy how it turned out.

KIKO - Apple Blossom (post here)
This is another one that I am so impressed by. This is my attempt of strawberry nails, I love them. I know the strawberries aren't as perfect as I wished they were. I will be attempting strawberry nails again one day.

Topshop - Lightning Dust (post here)
This is something completely different to what I would usually do on my nails. Yellow isn't usually a colour that I would go for. I don't think it suits my skin tone, but I couldn't stop looking at my nails when I did these. Bee nails are something that I want to do again.

KIKO - Green Meadow (post here)
This was one of them nail arts that took forever. It lasted a long time, it was quite a tricky one. The green polish actually was quite a watery polish and I was disappointed in it. But three coats made it fully opaque. The daises may have not worked out as well as I wanted them to. But I am very happy with them.

Rimmel - Caramel Cupcake (post here)
I done this for Father's Day and i knew that I needed to add it in my favourites. I love it. Yes it may be a little dodgy and not look like a sloth but I love it.

China Glaze - White On White (post here)
This is my first attempt at dry brush, it looks incredible. I have never been so happy with how it turned out. I used a few polishes including a mint, grey and pink one.

Currently Wearing | #132

This is a new brand for me to try this year. It is created by Rosie Fortescue which is one of the girls who is on the TV programme 'Made In Chelsea' I believe.

This is Nailed London Stormy Violets. Isn't this absolutely beautiful. I haven't seen many colours like this before, I feel this would be unique in any collection. After the first coat it was pretty brush stroke I was a bit disappointed and then after the second coat it levelled itself out. I really do love this polish and I am going to get some more Nailed London polishes because I am impressed by it. Have you tried any from his brand or have your even heard of it?

Wishlist #156

I have number 156, I didn't post last week as I wasn't hereso here I am again. This is another LA Colors wishlist. I aim to get a few this year.

Polishes Mentioned:
1. LA Colors - Jungle Fever
2. LA Colors - Jewel Tone
3. LA Colors - Perfect Sunset
4. LA Colors - Cactus
5. LA Colors - Aztec Orange
6. LA Colors - Morning Glory
7. LA Colors - Perfect Plum
8. LA Colors - Seafoam

Why I Want These Polishes?
1. LA Colors - Jungle Fever - This is a really pretty metallic turquoise which looks as if it can lean into a green type. I haven't seen a colour like this before, it looks so magical in the bottle. Imagine what this looks like when it is on your nails.

2. LA Colors - Jewel Tone - This is a glittery purple and it actually looks fully opaque in two coats. That may be tricky to get off though so a peel off base coat is probably much needed. But it actually a dupe for a models own polish.

3. LA Colors - Perfect Sunset - This is such a beautiful orange. I really like the look of this one. This looks quite like a gelly formula so I am not sure how great this would be. It may need to be covered or something,

4. LA Colors - Cactus - Right I need this now. Wow it is like a coppery or bronze shade. It looks incredible, I would look the look of this on my nails. It would look so pretty stamped as well.
5. LA Colors - Aztec Orange - First of all this isn't orange, its red. That is one of my biggest pet peeves as it isn't what it says it is. I should do a nail polish pet peeves post, I wonder if any youtubers have done that.

6. LA Colors - Morning Glory - Haha funny name oops. This is a deep purple and has silver glitter running through it so it seems. I need to get this and that would look so perfect with long nails.

7. LA Colors - Perfect Plum - This is a deep plum and again this would look perfect for winter. I absolutely love this colour.

8. LA Colors - Seafoam - This is a really beautiful mint shade and I am sure that there are so many dupes of this but it does look great. I think this would be good when it comes to having a crème polish.

The Untried Year | Overview 2016

I have set out of all of my nail polishes that I wore in 2016. This is crazy how many I actually wore. The Untried Year was something I had wanted to do for a while because I have so many nail polishes that I haven't worn, I would say over 90% of my collection hasn't been worn.

But here is a picture of it all laid out. I used 65 nail polishes in total and there was a few polishes which I didn't like. I don't really talk about the polishes that I don't like. Its weird as I still keep them.

Here is my overview again of the polishes broken into brands. I wore more Models Own and Essie polishes than any other. This was the year of the Essie polish for me, I really discovered my love for them and I hope this year I wear them lots more. I used a lot of new brands as well and discovered UK Indie brands. I will be using UK Indie brands a lot more so I hope you can be excited with what I wear in the year of 2017. I really hope you liked this post as it is a little different to what I would usually do.

Currently Wearing | #131

This is my first post from my new series #hayleyscartoonnails. I wont lie to you this is my absolute favourite nail art I have done for a while. I just love it.
I decied to set myself a challenge where I do Disney/Pixar or even cartoon nails every month. This month I decided I would do Monsters Inc/University, this was the last film I watched. I found a nail art look when I was looking on Google and I knew I just had to do it. I created Sulley's fur with Nails Inc Mint Bliss and used Models Own Purple Glare for his purple splodges. I used Rimmel Wedge Of Lime which is a beautiful yucky green which actually is my favourite kind of green. For the eye I used China Glaze White On White, Topshop Air Kisses and my black polish is AVON Liquorice. I can't wait to start planning more Disney nails and for you guys to see them. I am excited as I have so many ideas of what to use for it.

2016 | What I Got For Christmas

Well I have no excuse for why this is being posted on the 19th January. My birthday is in 12 days and I am finally getting round to post this ooops. But anyway lets see what I got.
This is like the nail arty bits. I wont go fully into details on what I got as I may use them throughout the year. I got two sets of nail art pens now that means I will have to use them. I have two sets of nail art stickers, one was Christmas ones and then I have snowflakes. I then have two sets of gems/diamantes, I've got letters which will be so cool and then I have cute little Christmas ones. I have a nail swatch wheel which always come in handy. I have three stamping plates, two from MoYou London and one random one which my auntie got from eBay. There are two nail care kits which will be perfect for my handbag. Then I have some gadgety things (you know not gadgets!), I have a little contraption where you put your nail polish bottle in it. Then the pink one is a place where you put your finger on to keep it steady by painting. Then the one next to my nail wheels it is a cool thing what you place around your nails to not get them messy. I have a huge pack of remover pens and they will be needed.

So this is my collection of nail polishes that I got. I got quite a few actually. I have a pusheen nail set, I actually wanted this for the ice cream nail polishes as I absolutely love them. I will try and do pusheen nail art soon. The little set I have is a brand that I have never heard of 'Love Juicy', this comes with lipglosses. I have my first ever Delush Polish Papa Was A Rolling Scone, this is being worn this year it has the best name ever. The next one is Painted Polish By Lexi Jumpin' Jack O Lantern, my first two ILNPs sweater weather and cabin fever. I have a color club duo in Peppermint and Mocha. I have two AVON polishes in Rosie Gold and Yellow Gold. Then I have another OPI from the hello kitty collection in My Pal Joey. I actually got my first MoYou polish I am so excited to use it in Shamrock.

I have a huge nail brush set, wow this is incredible. I am just so happy to be able to use this. I think I will review this when I start to use it.

Currently Wearing | #130

I have got my first currently wearing of 2017 for you all. This has taken so long to get round posting. I aim to be a better blogger but I am pretty sure I may fail at it.
I am wearing Models Own Starburst. I decided to wear this polish because I thought it looked like a dark night with fireworks. I really like it. It went on really smoothly and I probably could have got away with one coat. But in the end I decided to use two so there was no bald spots. But I am really glad that I finally got round to wearing it. I am very happy with it and well done to you Models Own for a great polish.

2016 | Nail Polish Yearly Favourites

I have got round to my favourites. But I am so late with them as usual. Nobody cares about that right, I have decided I am splitting this into two categories. Favourtites based on the nail polish and the other one is based on my nail art. I hope you enjoy this post, its pretty picture heavy.
Models Own Emerald Green/ Essie Summit Of Style (post here)
I absolutely love this green polish, green nail polish is my favourite colours. This has diamond dust running through it and it is beautiful. I am so happy that I wore this, it was worn for St Patricks Day. I wish I could wear this all year round.

BarryM Acai Smoothie (post here)
This is quite an unusal colour really, you don't see many colours like this. BarryM is one of my favourite brands and I don't get enough use out of it sadly. This looked incredible on my nails and I loved seeing it on my nails. I hope they bring out more gelly nail polishes.

BarryM Sparkling Amethyst (post here)
What a stunning polish, this was one of my first wears in 2016. I wish BarryM realised how amazing this polish was and how well it went on. They need to bring out more of these nail polishes because they are stunning. It went on like butter and I love it.

Essie - Warm & Toasty Turtleneck (post here)
OH MY GOD. This polish, I have no words for it. I wish I could of had it for much longer than I did. But I absolutely love it. Essie went up in my estimation last year and I used them a lot.

Orly Fresh Green (post here)
This is a lovely green, I really do love this colour. It looks so delicate and this was my first orly that I tried. Also I really enjoyed my nail art in this one. Orly color blasts are something that I need to go and get some more.

Rimmel Hottie Choccie (post here)
This is one of my surprise shocks of 2016 I loved it. I was shocked at how beautiful it actually was. I instantly got this because I saw a swatch and knew I needed it. I may have to go and get more of these super gels as they really impressed me.

Freckles Polish Gel Pen Collection (post here)
I got this because I like the name as I am an avid fan of gel pens haha. But it is such a unique colour and I am so impressed by it especially for a UK indie brand. I love this and it looked beautiful on my long nails.

Claire's Fairy Wings (post here)
This is such a pretty polish, it is so delicate and it looks so beautiful. I am so happy with how his went on my nails even if it did take three coats for a crème polish. But I like it.

Danglefoot Polish Dance All Night (post here)
I absolutely love this polish and I am so glad I got this. It has flakies running through it. I feel everybody would look beautiful if they had this on their nails. Maybe if they didn't like green that would be a little wrong though.

My 2017 Nail Resolutions

This is the second year that I have set myself nail resolutions. This is going to be a long post where I haven't got any pictures as I haven't got any spare pictures.

1. To try more UK Indie brands. The UK Indie brands last year done so well and I picked up a few but there are so many brands that I have rediscovered. So I make this my mission to go and get loads more. I hope you are ready for lots of new indie brands and amazing formulas coming your way.

2. Take part in a mani swap. I have seen so many mani swaps and they look really cool. Basically you recreate someone's nail art and they do the same. I am not sure if anyone will be up for doing one with me, but it is worth a try right.

3. Get to 400 instagram followers. As I type this I am currently sitting on 354 followers. Instagram has been a crazy up and down ride this year. I am sure you are all aware they changed the algorithm and made you not see many posts. It really annoys me as I miss so many of my favourite instagrammers.

4. Complete in more nail art challenges. I love being able to take part in nail art challenges. I love being able to do different nail art designs that I know I probably wouldn't wish to usually do on my own nails.

5. Complete #hayleyscartoonnails. If you don't know what this is, it is my own Disney/Pixar nail art series. I have a whole list of maybe 100 nail arts that I actually want to do. But that sounds extreme right ha-ha. I will do one Disney nail art each month.

6. Buy a glam polish. I have seen so many glam polishes and they are all so beautiful. Glam Polish is pretty hard to get in the UK as they are discontinued on Rainbow Connection and only have a handful. But I will try my hardest to get one this year.

7. To use striping tape and stickers. I have so many ideas when it comes to striping tape and this is the year where that happens.

8. Buy a cupcake polish. Again I am yet to get a cupcake polish. I will be getting one as they all look so nice.

9. Buy a kbshimmer. I bought this over from last years resolutions. I will be getting one, there are so many that I have seen and they look incredible.

10. Carry On with the untried year. Yes another full year of only wearing untried polishes. I cannot wait for you to see what nail polishes I wear this year. I am already planning.

Monday 9 January 2017

Currently Wearing | #129

I thought I would quickly get this posted as I am so behind with my 2016 posts. I am struggling a bit really with the amount of posts I need to get through. But I am up for the challenge.

I decided I would follow NailsByJema who is one of my favourite nail youtubers. Her nails are so amazing and I am always so inspired at how incredible she is. I used Collection Jungle Fever, this is a beautiful green. So I used a simple dotticure which I think I should probably do more often. I did a dotticure Christmas tree, this is such an amazing nail art. It was one of my favourites of the year actually. I put a little star nail sticker on which I have to say was more effort than it needed to be. I have no idea why it took me so long to get it on my nail or even for it to not peel off. But this was the last nail art of 2016. So I am up to date yay.

Wishlist #155

I have a wishlist for you, I decided I wouldn't post last weekend. But here it is.

Polishes Mentioned:
1. LA Colors - Radiation
2. LA Colors - Phenomena
3. LA Colors - Static Electricity
4. LA Colors - Treasure Island
5. LA Colors - Pink Chiffon

Why Do I Want These Polishes?
1. LA Colors - Radiation - This is a really pretty blue/turquoise. It is a kind of weird shade but I like it. I am sure there are loads of colours like this around but it doesn't matter.

2. LA Colors - Phenomena - This is a really deep pink, I think it is so pretty. I really like it. I am pretty sure there are so many dupes of this polish. But pink shades are the best. I have got loads of pink polishes but I still feel that I have so many pink polishes.

3. LA Colors - Static Electricity - This is a cobalt blue. I love blue nail polishes and I am very impressed with how bright it looks. Again there is probably a dupe for this but who cares. Blue polishes are one of my favourites.

4. LA Colors - Treasure Island - This is a green glitter, as you all know green is my favourite colour of nail polish. I would absolutely love to get this. I wish there was a place closer to me where I could get LA Colors instead of having to go Westfield because that is a pretty long way.

5. LA Colors - Pink Chiffon - This is such a light pink and I really like it. It looks like it has a pearlescent finish to it. I am sure that I don't need this polish but this would look great in Valentine's Day.

Currently Wearing | #128

I know I am so behind about this already. but here is my attempt at stamping. Lets talk through what I did when I was stamping.
I used Orly Snowcone which is a beautiful blue. I absolutely love this blue and I need to go and get more Orly's because they all look amazing. I used Models Own Chrome Copper which is such a nice polish and I will happily use it on my nails. I used a MoYou stamping plate festive 03 plate. The snowflakes on this are really big so sometimes it didn't transfer on my small nails. But it looked quite good.

New Series | Hayley's Cartoon Nails

I have a new series, this post is going to be short. I have started Hayley's Cartoon Nails. You are probably wondering what this means. This is something I have always wanted to do. The challenge I have set myself is I will be doing Disney/Pixar nail art each month. I absolutely love doing nail art so I am hoping that I can try and achieve this. I can't wait for you to see all the Disney cartoon nail art that I will be doing. So I hope you enjoy this new series of mine.

See you soon!
Hayley xx

2016 | The Untried Year

So this is the first full year I took part in 'The Untried Year'. If you are new to my blog you may not know what this is all about.

I decided I would go through my nail polish and only wear my untried nail polish. I have over 800 polishes and I have to say that this is most of them. But I am very happy that I gave myself this challenge. In total I used 65 nail polishes. I will be doing another post on this later on in the week so you can look out for that. I absolutely loved doing this because I could remember what nail polishes I had. I am doing it again this year and I hope I can use more than 65 nail polishes.

Sunday 1 January 2017

Currently Wearing | #127

I have realised I was supposed to post this ages ago. I am useless at blogging recently. So there will be no wishlist this weekend as I try to catch up with posting. I have two more Christmas mani's to show you. I also hope you had a lovely Christmas and an amazing new year. I hope you can follow me on my nail polish journey in 2017!

So this was my gingerbread and candycane nails. I followed yokonailart on youtube for this nail art. Christmas nails for me is always one of my favourites, I love doing them. I used BarryM Blueberry Ice Cream which is one of my newest purchases in December. I used it on three nails and then I used Models Own Snow White. My gingerbread isn't the best as I completely forgot the eyes oops. But other than that I really liked this nail art.
