Wishlist #178

I haven't been blogging for a while, I haven't been able to take photos. But starting August, I hope to have lots more posts. Also another note, there won't be any pictures featuring in my wishlists anymore due to the fact that paint is no longer (booooo!).

Products Mentioned:
1. BarryM - Lemon Ice Cream - £2.99
2. Models Own - Luis Lemon - £4.99
3. Revlon - Buttercup -?
4. Essie - Bobbinng For Bauble - £7.99

5. Maybelline - Winter Baby - £2.99
6. Bourjois - Amande Defile - ?

Why Do I Want These Polishes?
1. BarryM - Lemon Ice Cream -  I already own this, this is the last one out of the ice cream collection that I needed. I picked this up in poundland actually. If you live in the UK, there are quite a few BarryM's that are in there at the moment. I am not usually yellow kind of person, but this is amazing, I will be using it probably for some nail art soon.

2. Models Own - Luis Lemon - This is from the neon collection. I am sure this collection was one of the first ones that I was really into. But I don't own this one because I am not a fan of yellow nail polishes. But his would be great for some cool nail art.

3. Revlon - Buttercup - I also own this and I picked it up at poundland too. I am sure this was a pretty hyped polish, when I wore it I really enjoyed it. This is a yellow but kind of a really strange one. It is really smooth and creamy.

4. Essie - Bobbing For Bauble - First of all can I say how much I love the name. This is from the Christmas collection ages ago. It is more of a deep blue than a navy. It is stunning, I haven't seen many really dark polishes from Essie like this.

5. Maybelline - Winter Baby - Maybelline isn't a brand that I usually look at or really have many. I don't know why because it is sold in my local shops. I should really try ad look for these. Remember that tag I did - I bouht it for the name, this would be one of those. I am a winter baby.

6. Bourjois - Amande Defile - This is a really mint/blue. I don't tend to gravitate for Bourjois polishes either, I am not sure why I don't really look at them. I feel Bourjois are more of a makeup brand and I don't see any new polishes releases from this brand. But the one I have tried, I really liked it.

This is the second prompt for the Glam Nail Challenge. The prompt for this was watermelon. I have to admit when I saw watermelon was on the list of prompts I knew I needed to do. That is how much I have wanted to do watermelon nails haha.

Who wins the award for the easiest clean up award, that would be me oops. I was obviously so excited about using this polish I clearly forgot to take a picture.

I used Revlon Buttercup which I picked up in poundland. You cannot go wrong with a poundland bargain can you. I suggest you check out what polishes they have because they always seem to have revlons. I am not a huge fan of yellow, but this is stunning. I am surprised at how much I actually really like this colour. It just makes you look really summery. It took 2/3 coats on some nails, I did find this quite streaky. But I suppose with such a pale colour you have to expect that sometimes. I love how the watermelon pieces came out, I will be doing more watermelon nails in the future.

TAG | Ugly Pretty Colours

This was supposed to be up ages ago, no idea why I forgot about it. But anyway, this is my ugly pretty colours. This was a tag which was set up by Clare Gray over on Youtube. If you don't go and watch her videos then I suggest you go over now. She is amazing!
Ugly Pretty colours are probably my favourite nail polishes colours. I am obsessed with them all. I have BarryM Mustard, this is the perfect autumn polish. I cannot wait to wear this next year as I have ideas already. The next one is OPI Uh Oh Roll Down The Window, what a funny name but this is such a ugly colour but I am in love with it. Primark Brulee, now this is more of a mauve polish than a brown. But I can see why people wouldn't pick this up because it might not be the prettiest. NYC Midtown Mink, this is a really deep chocolate brown. You can't pick up NYC in shops anymore, they got rid of all of the stands. So this may not be relatively available anymore. This is AVON Marmalady, this seems to have featured quite a bit yet I still haven't worn it. China Glaze Harvest Moon, this is absolutely perfect for Halloween time. It is beautiful. Now this one is just like radioactive slime, Models Own Flip Flop, I have never loved a polish as much as this one in my life. I am so happy I have already worn this. The next polish is Sally Hansen Tippy Taupe, I am an absolute sucker for brown polishes, I have no idea what my fascination with them are but I love them. The next one is BeautyUK Urban Jungle, this has a special place in my heart. When I did my teaching assistant apprenticeship, one of the little boys said it looked like sick (it does I know!). I will always keep this polish reminding me of my time there. The last polish I have mentioned is AVON Citrionized, this is a very weird colour but I love it.

Currently Wearing | #161

This is the start of the glam nail challenge for July. I realised as I was looking through my instagram, my last currenly wearing should be in between this challenge as that was when it was posted. But I actually done this one at the end of the month but it wasn't posted until start of July as that's when the entries needed to be in. Okay enough rambling, lets see my octopus nails.

The prompt for this was 'Octopus'. I had no idea what to do at first, so of course I went onto trusty Google and that helped obviously. I found a design from the very talented 'One Nail To Rule Them All'. I am the biggest fan of her, she was actually the first blogger on nails I was fully into.

I used Models Own White Light, I have to be honest I am not into white nails at all. I don't know if it is because they just remind of tippex. But I really enjoyed this polish, it may have changed my view on white nails. I just wish I could pull it off. I have used loads of different polishes. I cannot tell you what colours I used, so I wish I could tell you. This defiantly needs to change and write what other polishes I used when I do nail art.

This is my thumb nail. This never ever gets shown in my pictures. I couldn't leave out of this little cutie could I.

Polish Of The Month | June

This post is a bit later than it should be (no shock!). I picked two polishes instead of a nail art as I just couldn't decide what nail art I liked the best.

Here is my first pick for polish of the month. This is Miss Beauty Mermaid. This is absolutely stunning, I still can't get over how beautiful this is. This applied in two coats and was very smooth. I think I am more impressed by this because it was £1 and I have never heard of the brand before that is why I was so shocked and surprised. Don't you love when that happens, basically I shouldn't have judged it because I have never heard of it before.
This is Cuccio Mint Condition. Now we all know by now how much of a sucker I am for any green polishes, so this is no shock that this appears in my favourites does it. I received this in a nail box and have just got around to wearing this. But this took 2/3 coats because I felt there was some bald spots on my nails.

Season Picks | Summer 2017

This post may be coming to you a little later than I had originally planned, I had this written down to blog about and completely forgot about it. But it is here now, these are my summer picks.
Lets start with Essie Fashion Playground, this is showing up a lot brighter than it is on the picture. It is more like a muted mint than a really bright one. It also has silver shimmer running through it, whether that shows up on the nail we will have to see. The next one is OPI Hello Hawaii Ya? This is also coming up a different colour, this is a lot brighter than it really is. This is a stunning dusty purple which I think would be perfect for any season. The nxt polish is KIKO Strawberry Milk, I bought this is in a pretty big haul (which is still yet to be posted ooops!). This is a stunning polish that would be perfect on your toes. Next is the fabulous Ard As Nails Selfie Stick which is a neon green with beautiful holographic running through it. The last polish from the first 5 is Models Own Shades, this is absolutely beautiful. I wouldn't say it was a Barbie or a fluorescent pink, it is sort of in the middle. I am not sure why I haven't worn this one yet.

I have Kiko Light Misty Green, this is stunning. I am impressed with this one and I cannot wait to get through my kiko polishes. The next one is Orly Ole, a beautiful coral and I imagine this would have a very good formula. I have Sinful Colors Blue By You, this is a stunning blue polish which has a beautiful shimmer running through it. I have BarryM Pink Lemonade, this would look crazy if you had a sun tan. This would look stunning with some stamping over the top. The last polish is Primark Sunset Strip which is the brightest orange that I have ever ever seen.

Currently Wearing | #160

This is a very special currently wearing. Keep reading to see why.

I was absolutely honoured to be invited to participate in the Cancer Awareness Collab by the amazing Chloe over at TippedOffNails. Click the link to find out more about her story and see her amazing swatches. Chloe is 6 months clear of cancer and was running race for life when this was posted. It is amazing to be a part of such an amazing community. The only prompt was to use the ribbon and paint your nails any colour you wanted. I used Miss Beauty Mermaid, which I got from Home Buys for £1.99 or £1. It is absolutely stunning, this polish will be up there for sure as a favourite at the end of the year.

Here is the amazing collage, its incredible how a community can come together for something like this. The nail art community is so good on instagram, I know instagram has changed what with the algorithms and stuff which isn't great. But I have spoken to a lot of amazing people on there and hopefully it can only grow and get bigger.

Wishlist #177

Guys I am finally back. My blogging mojo is back as of today, I have lots of posts planned for this summer. I have so much to do yet I never have enough time to take the pictures, but now I do. So look out for lots of content these next two months.

Polishes Mentioned:
1. MUA - Spearmint - £1.00
2. MUA - White Wash - £1.00
3. MUA - Posy - £1.00
4. MUA - Lavender - £1.00

Why Do I Want These Polishes?
1. MUA - Spearmint - Okay I have officially decided, this is my perfect polish. This is beautiful and I find this to be perfect when you have a sun tan because it would make you look so amazing.

2. MUA - White Wash - This is very pretty and it is a white polish. I actually can't find a picture of this at all. But it is probably just like any other white polish. I am not sure if MUA even sell nail polish anymore, I actually can't remember the last time I looked at the makeup stand.

3. MUA - Posy - This is one of those pink polishes that can look different on any skin tone. When I was searching for this on Google, it looked really differed on my photos. I kind of like that about nail polishes, but I am not sure if this would suit me. I am more of a brighter pink and I don't even wear pink that often, so maybe I will change that.

4. MUA - Lavender - This is always going to be a stable in everyone's collections, I don't have this one. I also couldn't find a picture of this one anywhere. When I looked at the few swatches that I saw on this, it is very pretty and a crisp manicure.

Currently Wearing | #159

I am slowly catching up with my currently wearing's. I finish work this week, so I am hopefully going to get much more posted because I have a lot of ideas in my mind.

Today I am wearing Glitter Baby Nails Water Lily. Glitter Baby nails is a UK indie brand, I am pretty sure you can still buy from her Etsy website but she hasn't posted anything on Instagram since March. So I am hoping you still can. Click on the link to see my haul from January. I love the shade, it is like the perfect Spring green. When I wore this, it was possibly one of the hottest days of the year which is brand for nail polish. This was so hard to apply, I don't know whether because it was super hot it just decided to work in the unbelievably hot UK sun (which we rarely experience!). It was pretty gloopy at you can see on one of my nails has gone a little thicker than the others. I was pretty disappointed by it, I am hoping it was just the weather making it gloopy as it isn't like it now. But overall I absolutely loved the polish, just the polish didn't love the heat which I fully agree with.

Wishlist #176

First of all how are we alrady in July, what is going on with 2017. I feel it will be Christmas before we even know it. This is only a small wishlist, I really need to update my lists and they are some old polishes and I am yet to add brand new ones on it.

Polishes Mentioned:
1. Models Own - Tropical Green - £5.00
2. Models Own - Prude Nude - £5.00
3. Cheeky - Glitter Bug - ?

Why Do I Want These Polishes?
1. Models Own - Tropical Green - If you are thinking while reading this, I bet you have that. Well then you are right ha-ha. I haven't used it yet (shock horror!). But this the perfect grass kind of green it is bloody stunning. I am planning to do a huge swatch wheel of green beauties and this will more than likely be on there.

2. Models Own - Prude Nude - This polish is not me at all, but I kind of like it in a odd way. It reminds me of a interview shade. Even if you weren't allowed nail polish in your office and wanted a pretty nude shade then this would be absolutely perfect. It is very nice, just not for me.

3. Cheeky - Glitter Bug - I wish I could remember where I saw this brand, I just cant remember. It is a very pretty silver glitter. If only I could zoom in as I am pretty sure it is a bar glitter, I know bar glitter isn't too everybody's standards.
