2018 | What I Got For My Birthday

Well I have no idea why this post took me so long to write, I could swear I took the pictures for this but they seemed to have disappeared. Anyway my birthday was 30th January so haha.

 

These are all of the nail polishes I got I have Essie On The Roadie, China Glaze Strawberry Fields, I Sea Ponies and Accent Piece. I have Nine Zero Lacquer Wallmaster. I have Primark Fairy Dust and Turquoise Dream. Pretty Serious Grimm Demise which is stunning.

I have two sets which I got from Boots. I have Powerpuff Girls which is such a cute set and I can't wait to be taking pictures with them. I have a Cinderella trio which looks really pretty. The glitters look so gorgeous. I have a nail file, I am the worst when it comes to getting my nails to be straight so this will come in handy.

 

I have a Kawaii food plate from bundle monster, I cannot wait to get around to using this because when have you ever wanted to have broccoli on your nails ha-ha. I have adorable hedgehog nail stickers. I have whatsup nails vinyls, I have got a jigsaw one but I haven't put the cloverfield in the picture as I left them downstairs oops.

Topic Tuesdays | #06

This post seems to have taken me an eternity to get written. I don't really know why I have only just gotten around to write this post. But this is February's topic Tuesday's post. The prompt for this was, how you store or display your polishes.

 

Here is the main place I keep my polishes in. I got this 6 drawer from the range. Sadly they don't sell this anymore which I am gutted about because I do need more storage. On the top of the drawers, I have two mini drawers which I am aiming to put my stamping plates and vinyls, stickers in. I have a big cat bucket which have base coats in, top coats and cuticle stuff. I also have a basket which I put my polishes in to go downstairs with and a nail polish set that I can't fit anywhere else. If you want an in-depth post of these drawers then I will do.

 

My drawers have overflowed, I have them in boxes now. This box has some random polishes in. I have Sally Hansen, Ciate, Next, Nicole By OPI, revlons. I have to say these often get forgotten about because I have so many polishes.

 

These next two boxes are UK indies and random polishes. I have to warn you, the top box has so many polishes in.

See I did warn you, there is a lot of polishes in here isn't there. I have Essie, sinful colors, essence, w7, rimmel and some few other brands. I have no idea what to do with these polishes. There is just way too may things in here. But I am yet to use most of these in this box. But I do enjoy going through here, its like a mystery box.

This is my UK indie box. I am quite new to uk indies but I have lots of brands already. I have Pretty perfect polish, ard as nails, princess nail lacquer. danglefoot and many more. I am very excite to see where this year takes the uk indie world. I would absolutely love to create my own but I know it takes a lot of time and that is something I don't have much of.

I was involved in another birthday collaboration. I love being invited to do them, the nail polish community is a great place to be. This was posted on the 12th March as it was Katie's birthday then. So this has been in the process for a while.

 

The theme was pink and glitter. I used Champney's Raspberry and OPI Starry Eyed For Dear Daniel. I wasn't sure if I had used the Champney's polish before, but I had no pictures of it at all. So this was good as I am slowly getting through my huge pile of untrieds. I am slightly regretting that I didn't use the OPI one in a full manicure. It is absolutely beautiful and may come back out again for a full manicure next year. But that wont be counted as an untried. I used my dotting tools for my flowers.

Here is another Essie Colour of the month. Lets see all about it.

 

Here is Essie Bordeaux, this is February's colour of the month. This isn't a colour I would usually wear. Red is one of my most hated colours in the nail polish world. I already owned this because I got it in a Christmas set. I used 2/3 coats. It was quite a jelly consistency, I wasn't sure about it at all. But it was nice to wear a different colour, still not won me over just yet. Also this colour may be bad luck because I broke my nail so badly when I was wearing this colour.

Season Picks | St Patrick's Day

I saw a collaboration on Youtube and decided I would pick out my green polishes from my collection. I did this last year so there may be a few polishes in this from last years picks. I also could have picked out 400 greens, slight exaggeration but you know.

 

I have Essie Jade To Measure, this was one of my favourite nail polishes in 2017. I am so happy that I got to wear it especially as it was my first try of gel couture's. I have Pretty Serious Grimm Demise, this is brand new and I haven't worn it yet. But this looks beautiful and I haven't tried this brand before. I have Kiko 532 Pearly Amazon Green, I wore this last year and fell in love with it. Models Own Emerald Green is my all time favourite nail polishes and I absolutely love it. I have Painted Polish By Lexi Stamped In Greenery, this is so pretty. You will see this very soon. I have Kiko 296 Green Meadow - this is also another favourite with mine. I have China Glaze Four Leaf Clover, this is the perfect polish for St Patrick's day. I am yet to wear this as I have just got it. The last polish is Essie On The Roadie, this is so pretty. Essie doesn't have that many greens especially like this one. But it is gorgeous.

I asked over on instagram, with a  poll wondering if anybody wanted to do a mani swap. Zoe kindly said she would do one with me even though she wasn't that big of a nail art kind of person. But I said that was fine. I absolutely loved this one. I used Kiko 501 Pink Iguana, this is an absolutely beautiful nail polish. This took 1/2 coats, it is really gorgeous.

 

                      

Here is the mani swap, I am so happy with how it turned out. It is funny that we both decided to do animal nail art. I hope to do more nail art in the future.

This was my Valentine's day nails. I couldn't decide what I wanted to do, so I asked over on my instagram page for peoples opinions. I asked them to vote on my poll. Bees or Pears. The winner was bees obviously.

 

I was inspired by toys that I saw in Sainsbury's (the supermarket). I was quite amused at how adorable they are. I used Tanya Burr Fairy Godmother, which is a gorgeous lavender/periwinkle shade. I love these bottles, I am glad she changed them because I could not open the other ones. I used 2 coats on this. Can you believe it that I actually wrote on my nails. This is unheard of ha-ha. I was actually quite surprised that I managed to do it and even for it to turn out pretty well. I used some nail art pens that I have finally got round to use, I have struggled to even open them and work them out. But they worked perfectly. I am very happy with the outcome what do you think?

Here is another birthday collab. I can't believe I have been asked o do so many. I absolutely love to do them. I also was quite confused by this when I looked on my instagram, as it wasn't posted when I painted them. Then I realised I painted it a week earlier so I could submit it. So when you look through my instagram this is posted at a different time, if you get what I mean.

 

This was @tbellew18 birthday collaboration. The prompt was to recreate something. Well that's easier said than done isn't it. She is amazing at stamping and I am still a newbie when it comes to stamping. So I had to find something that was quite simple. I found this cute design. I am obsessed with flower nail art at the moment. I used Sally Hansen Pretty Piggy. This is an absolute beautiful polish and I have loved it.

I can't believe we are in the 200th currently wearing's. This has been crazy how many times I have done this. I obviously haven't had 200 untried year polishes just yet. I will probably do a huge overview polish when I get to 200 polishes used which isn't too far away.

 

I have been wanting to use this for so so long. This is Models Own Radiant Pink. This is absolutely beautiful. I used two coats but you can clearly see my nail line and I wish I did another coat. But anyway it still looks fantastic. It is from the diamond luxe collection and it is one of my favourite Models Own collections. I wish they did more nail polish collections instead of doing nail polish. It bugs me that they have lost focus on it.

 

Topic Tuesdays | #05

The Topic Tuesday which isn't on a Tuesday, I promise I will do one of these on the correct day and when everyone does them over on instagram or on YouTube.

Anyway this was sentimental polishes. I thought long and hard about it. I didn't think I had any, but I found one when I was looking in my collection.

 

This is BarryM Berry Ice Cream. This is the polish I wore when it was my Great Nan's funeral. This was her favourite colour, lilac. This always reminds me of her, it is a very beautiful colour. I don't often wear purple as much. Also BarryM need to bring back the classic nail paints they were everything a couple of years ago. They were such a fashion trend. So that is my sentimental polishes. I absolutely loved reading what everyone else's polishes were.
