Here is another currently wearing (two posts in a day?? who am I??).

 

This is Models Own Shades. WOW. Can I just say, models own going into liquidation is probably the saddest thing to happen this year especially as they are my most favourite brand. This is a gorgeous pink and I couldn't see at all when I took this photo. This polish is absolutely gorgeous and I love this so much. It is the brightest pink and I make it my mission to get these neon polishes out every year because they are amazing.

Here we have Models Own Persian Pink, this is such a gorgeous pink. I am so happy with it and it took me so long to get round to wearing this. I really love this, its a gel so it does have that glossy feel. I am not sure if it does look like an peony but we all have nail fails really right. I might try peony nails again because I am annoyed that this didn't work. I also did a swatch video too. So I am getting ready to post lots of swatch videos because I love making them.

Here is another nail art which is for Glam Nails Challenge.

 

Here we have Tulips, I had a great idea in mind. But I forgot that the base was so dark. I am using Models Own Top Turquoise. I got this not too long ago actually. I really love this nail art, if you haven't been following me for a while. Floral nail art is my favourite thing to do, I am trying my hardest to do loads more. But these tulips are so colourful and I really love them.

So here is my Easter mani, I can't believe this has taken me this long to wear this. Sadly Models Own is no longer here. But still my favourite brand.

 

Here is Models Own Goose, this is from the speckled eggs collection. This is possibly one of my favourite models own collections they ever did. I am still disappointed that they are no longer a brand anymore. But this sadly took 4 coats! 4 COATS! No I am sorry, no polish should take four coats. But its a shame because this is an amazing polish. I am still on he hunt for the last polish from this collection.

This is what the bottle looks like and it is so good. I need the blue one, I am on the hunt for it!!

Here is what was my Valentine's day nail art.

 

This was inspired by the new kawaii book that I have. This is basically a drawing book, I might do a cute blog post on this because I would really love to show you what I have been inspired by recently. This is Models Own Candyfloss. This punny kawaii nail art is 'I Loaf You'. I am so happy with this turned out considering that the writing did smudge which is really annoying. This nail polish was featured in my valentines picks and there was also a pink nail swatch video that went up too. I would love if you had a look at my channel.

So this is the last mani for 2018. I would have liked to have posted this way earlier than I actually am. But what's new I am terrible.

So I am wearing Models Own Inky Blue and BarryM Majestic Sparkle. Now this is my 'New Year' nails. I love the Models Own one it is so pretty. I have done some champagne glasses and I think that they look so cute. The glitter I used is absolutely beautiful. BarryM do some amazing glitters, and I am very happy that I picked this up.

Here is another currently wearing, this one was a birthday collab.

 

So this is a recreation for jaffacakefreak's birthday collaboration. I used Models Own Peach Melba, this took two coats. It is a scented polish and is up there with one of the great polishes I have used this year. I have to be honest, this was probably the most difficult nail art design I have done in a very long time. It was very fiddly, but I could have easily given up. I am very proud with how this went, I did mess up a little.

 

Here is the birthday collab and I am very happy with how this looks!

So here is my last Halloween mani for the year. I know I am so behind with this, but Halloween is honestly my favourite. I promise you guys, next year my blogging will be so much better.

Here is Models Own Tropical Green, this is absolutely gorgeous. I was inspired by nailartby_gracie. I absolytely love this design, it may have taken so long to do. But I am so proud that this actually looks so good. I really wanted to do a scary eye because it looked so cool when I have seen it done before. I did Mr & Mrs Frankenstein. This took 2 coats also.

This is another birthday collab, I do love doing them because it shows how together the nail community is. This is for life of Agnes, I didn't actually follow her but I followed her quite quickly and recreated some nail art of hers.

 

This is Models Own Long Beach Peach. This is a gorgeous peach, I don't reach for shades like this at all. So it was a nice surprise when the nail art I recreated. I love this, I do love floral nail art and don't get to do it as much. I also used striping tape for this, I rarely use it because I am absolutely awful with it. I have no idea why, it is one of those things that I never get the hang off.

There we so many nail art that I could have recreated, I really loved the yellow one in the middle because that is so perfect.

Here is another currently wearing, this is from the summer obviously. This was twin manis that i did with Zoe over at myrealnails, who is amazing!

I used Models Own - Coral Glaze. This took 2 coats and it is so beautiful. It did go quite streaky, this was probably because this was a hot day. I was inspired by 25sweetpeas, who is one of my inspirations in my nail art because she is so amazing. I think palm trees are so cute, I don't often do summery nails because I have so many polishes to wear. But this summer I decided to do more. This was also part of my recreation challenge, so that was another nail art recreated.

This is my Easter nails. I absolutely love doing Easter nails and they are one of my favourite holidays to do for nails other than Christmas and Halloween.

The prompt was Easter chicks. I am using Models Own Dove, I love this collection. I have three of them but I regret that I didn't pick up the other two. I always make it a tradition to use these for Easter nails. But now I have run out of them ha-ha. I may have to find some more speckled nail polish. This took 2/3 coats.

I can't believe we are in the 200th currently wearing's. This has been crazy how many times I have done this. I obviously haven't had 200 untried year polishes just yet. I will probably do a huge overview polish when I get to 200 polishes used which isn't too far away.

 

I have been wanting to use this for so so long. This is Models Own Radiant Pink. This is absolutely beautiful. I used two coats but you can clearly see my nail line and I wish I did another coat. But anyway it still looks fantastic. It is from the diamond luxe collection and it is one of my favourite Models Own collections. I wish they did more nail polish collections instead of doing nail polish. It bugs me that they have lost focus on it.

So this was the first time I had done my nails in 2018. I always make sure that I do my nails on the 1st January. I am not entirely sure why but I always feel I get more polishes worn in January which is strange. Anyway lets see what I wore.

I wore Kiko 515 Metallic Plain Chocolate, this took 2 coats. Do you remember when I bought all those kiko polishes, well I am slowly getting y way through them. I do have a post planned on that coming soon. This is stunning brown that has a pink shift running through it, you can just see it in the bottle. I do have a swatch photo of this on its own for you to see. I used Models Own Blizzard, this isn't necessarily an untried but I have actually marked it down as an untried in the untried year.

Here is the base of Kiko Metallic Plain Chocolate which was actually 2 coats. It does have a pink shimmer running through it which is stunning. It is hard to get to see it, but I liked it in the bottle.

This photo is just so dark. I am a bit annoyed at this.

 

Okay, I am going to be honest. I am so disappointed in this. I used Models Own Toxic Apple, this took 3 coats and it was awful. This was so sheer, I didn't enjoy this polish at all. This must be the first Models Own polish that I haven't liked. I think I need to use a white polish underneath it. If anyone has used this, please let me know. The other polish I used is China Glaze Ghostess With The Mostess. This is such a lovely glitter and I am a huge fan of it.

This is the start of the glam nail challenge for July. I realised as I was looking through my instagram, my last currenly wearing should be in between this challenge as that was when it was posted. But I actually done this one at the end of the month but it wasn't posted until start of July as that's when the entries needed to be in. Okay enough rambling, lets see my octopus nails.

The prompt for this was 'Octopus'. I had no idea what to do at first, so of course I went onto trusty Google and that helped obviously. I found a design from the very talented 'One Nail To Rule Them All'. I am the biggest fan of her, she was actually the first blogger on nails I was fully into.

 

I used Models Own White Light, I have to be honest I am not into white nails at all. I don't know if it is because they just remind of tippex. But I really enjoyed this polish, it may have changed my view on white nails. I just wish I could pull it off. I have used loads of different polishes. I cannot tell you what colours I used, so I wish I could tell you. This defiantly needs to change and write what other polishes I used when I do nail art.

 

This is my thumb nail. This never ever gets shown in my pictures. I couldn't leave out of this little cutie could I.

This currently wearing is a special one. I was asked to be a part of a Brain Tumour Awareness nail collab. All you needed to do was have a grey nail polish and have the ribbon on your nails somewhere. That is what I did, scroll down to see the full collage. There was a lot of amazing people involved in this collab. I can't wait to do more, I am very excited to see what happens this year.

 

 

I used Models Own Lunar Grey which I have been planning to wear for ages and just haven't got round to wearing it. I absolutely loved this nail polish, it is incredible. I wasn't sure at first whether it would suit my skin tone but I instantly fell in love with this beauty. I just used a white nail polish for the rest of the design, I have a small ribbon and some flowers. I also wrote love too, I am surprised how well that came out as I am usually rubbish at writing words. But I think you need love especially when you are going through something so horrible as cancer.

This currently wearing was something different, I was involved with my first mani swap.

At the start of the year I set myself resolutions as you know, and the lovely Stephanie (@stephyclaws) said she would love to participate in a mani swap with me. I was so excited when she said that, I couldn't wait to get involved with it.

I recreated the leopard print nail art, I used Models Own Turquoise Sea which is a beautiful blue. It is so pretty. The glitter I used was another Models Own Colour Explosion. I also recreated the bow, this was supposed to be a firmo which Stephy had used, but I don't have any so I just used polish on mine.

Currently Wearing | #130

I have got my first currently wearing of 2017 for you all. This has taken so long to get round posting. I aim to be a better blogger but I am pretty sure I may fail at it.

I am wearing Models Own Starburst. I decided to wear this polish because I thought it looked like a dark night with fireworks. I really like it. It went on really smoothly and I probably could have got away with one coat. But in the end I decided to use two so there was no bald spots. But I am really glad that I finally got round to wearing it. I am very happy with it and well done to you Models Own for a great polish.

In my opinion this is a nail fail. 

I have always wanted to do hedgehog nails. I actually have hedgehogs in my garden, so that's why I thought it was best I chose to do my nails for them. I used Models Own Hot Chocolate, I am so in love with brown nail polishes. The hedgehog doesn't look like one, it looks more like a little hamster. But I will try again and not give up.

The next prompt for the Clairestelle8 nail art challenge is Black Cats. I absolutely love this one.

I used Models Own Purple Glare, this is a beautiful creamy nail polish which took two coats. I am so happy that I could finally use this nail polish. It had been so long since I got this and hadn't found a way to use this. But I have now. That's enough rambling, aren't my black cats so cute. I found a picture on Google, but it didn't have a watermark on so I am not sure who created it. I used my regular black and white nail polish. I absolutely love this one. I am so happy how it turned out, cats is never a nail art I thought I would do. But I finally have.
