So this is the last mani for 2018. I would have liked to have posted this way earlier than I actually am. But what's new I am terrible.

So I am wearing Models Own Inky Blue and BarryM Majestic Sparkle. Now this is my 'New Year' nails. I love the Models Own one it is so pretty. I have done some champagne glasses and I think that they look so cute. The glitter I used is absolutely beautiful. BarryM do some amazing glitters, and I am very happy that I picked this up.

Here is BarryM Blueberry, this is a gorgeous polish. I am obsessed with BarryM gelly's there is something so amazing about this polish. I really love the colour of this one, this is just so beautiful. I recreated Cindy's Vanity nail art of the reindeer. I am so happy with how it turned out, when I look at this it makes me feel so happy. I have really come on leaps and bounds when it comes to nail art and I know I will only get more confident.

Here is one of my Christmas nail arts, this is what I wore on Christmas day. Yes it has been over a month since it was Christmas, but I am so close to completing these posts.

Here is Kiko 512 Metallic Rosy Taupe. This is so pretty, I love this polish. It has such a pretty pink flash running through it. Sometimes these polishes don't show the flashes, especially on the nail. But this is so pretty. I am also very happy with how my Christmas tree went, there is some really cute baubles on the tree. I am not sure if the star looks great, it doesn't even look like a star. But one day I will practice on stars.

Empties | #03

Here is an empty, I can't remember the last time i even did the last post. I am finally getting round to finishing a product I guess.

 

Here is the cien nail polish remover, this is from lidl. It has a pump which you press the cotton pad up. You will be able to completely fill up the pad with nail polish remover. I actually love this bottle. I have kept it because I find it a lot easier than normal bottles. I do have the tendency to drop the remover all over me. I wish other removers did pumps, they are always so much easier to use.

2018 | What Did I Got For Christmas

So here is my 'what I got for Christmas' post. I am actually ahead of myself, this usually gets posted in February. We are still in January, I am very impressed with this fact. I wanted to get this up before I posted what I got for my birthday, which is on 30th January.

 

Here are the single polishes, I have 4 of them. I have Sally Hansen One In A Melon, this is absolutely beautiful. I got this from Peacocks and it was super cheap as well. I am not sure if this fits as coral pantone colour of the year. China Glaze TTYL, isn't this so beautiful. I can't wait to wear this in autumn. I have Essie On Your Mistletoes, this is so pretty. I love a deep blue like this. Then I have Essie Spellbound, which has been a lemming of mine. I am so excited that I found this, my mum bought it on ebay, then we went too beauty outlet and there it was. There was so many, so tempted to get a back up.

 

 

Here I have some sets; Nails Inc Self Made Mermaid. This is absolutely beauyfiul I cannot wait to wear these because they are so pretty. Then I have a Skinny Dip Set which is also so pretty. Then my auntie bought me this Aura set, I will do a close up post because these polishes are so beautiful. I have no idea where they come from because it doesn't say. They also come with a  cute hand cream. Also can you see the cute little glitter pot, that is so pretty. It is like a white glitter. Imagine this as a snow nail art.

 

Here are these cute little curves for the natural nail, if I was doing French nail art or something. I am sure I already own these but it is always great to have more.

 

I have three new nail plates. These all look so amazing, I am trying so hard to get more into stamping. I have MoYou London Animal 08?, it was so cute. They were little mini animals, altogether. I will have to do a nail plate so you can see this up close as they are just so adorable. I have MoYou London Crazy Cat Lady 01, I lost my cat at the start of 2018 and I miss him so much. I feel like I want every one of these cat plates. The last plate which is in the middle is Sugar Bubbles Plate SB055, this is honestly the sweetest plate ever. Like the pun I did there. I got it here

 

I have this amazing new nail mat, I love this so much. I am so happy I finally got one. It isn't an actual brand one, I found this over on Amazon. I have wanted one for so long, so I asked my aunt for one. She didn't even know what this was ha-ha. Here is the link.

I had two things I didn't take pictures of because I completely forgot too. I have a really cool manicure pen which is amazing. I might do a blog post around it because I have never ever seen anything lik it before. Then the last thing I forgot was a little stand, it has like a dip where you place your finger and it helps you when you paint your nails.

Here is another Christmas currently wearing, I am honestly so bad at this. I have no idea why it takes me so long to upload these posts. I promise there is only a few weeks of this before I should be fully ahead of myself. That is easy said than done really isn't it.

 

Here is Ciate House Of Mirrors, I used this for my Christmas light nail art. I am just so happy with how this turned out, it looks so good. Don't you just love it when nail art turns out just how you want it too. This polish is absolutely beautiful, it didn't quite make it too the 2018 top nail polish favourites. I am very glad that I finally got too do it, it was one of those nail arts that I hadn't got to complete yet. But now I have it.

Topic Tuesday | #37

Here is another Topic Tuesday. I am slowly getting through them, I promise they will be completed very soon.

The topic Tuesday for this week was 'what are your favourite drugstore nail polishes in your collection?' So can you see it is BarryM. I have chosen four of my favourites. I am more of a drugstore girl than anything else, these are always easy to get and I love them all.

I have picked four of my favourites. I have Molten Metal Blue Glacier, honestly never fallen in love with a polish as much as this one. It is absolutely perfect and I will try and wear more molten metals. Then the gelly hi shines are my absolute favourites. I have Paprika, Cardamom and Prickly Pear. If I could buy all the gellys I would, they are so amazing. I might do a full post on this as they are my absolute favourite things to wear.  

The Untried Year | Overview

So its that time of the year again where we talk 'the untried year'. This is my photo of all of the polishes used in 2018.

I used a total of 81 polishes. 81 POLISHES. Excuse me, who knew that's possible.

I can't tell you guys how happy this makes me. I kow I did a lot of challenges that year so that is why I have used so many of them. I didn't use as many brands as I would have liked, but I hope in 2019 I will try and do that. I used 10 essies in total, I would have loved 12 essies due to having Essie colour of the month but I missed out on two of them.

This picture makes me very happy, I will be making my usual collage for the 2018 polishes once I have sorted them all out. I actually cant find my 2017 picture on here anyway, so I imagine that its still sitting comfortably in my drafts. That's more than likely the reason why I never posted it. So I hope you don't mind but I will be posting it sometime this month because I love making the collages as they take so long to make.

Monthly Haul | December

So here I am with the last monthly haul for 2018. I do have another set that I haven't shown you, but I am planning on doing another post for.

So I have two sets which were from Boots in the half price sale. I do love it when Boots have their sales because they are just so good. So I got Barbie and the bows & whiskers set. I will try and use one of these because I feel like I am not getting too much use out of these sets. If there wasn't such a bad glare on it I would probably show you them. I have 6 individual polishes. I have two Models Own which are from Poundland, I love going in there to see some polishes that I don't own. I have Models Own Goose and Lemon Popsicle. I have Nailed London Eye Candy & Crimson Crazy. The purple is absolutely beautiful. I really need to wear this one soon. I have Rimmel On Fleek & FAB! I am obsessed with them both. I promise you need to all go and get these because they are so gorgeous.

Here is another currently wearing from Christmas, glam nails challenge in December.

 

This prompt was for mistletoe. I used Artistic Colour Revolution Heart Of Chrome. I got this from Mani & Lola November box '18. This is absolutely beautiful, I am very happy with how this turned down. Yes I did have a terrible break and just left it because I wasn't ready to file it down just yet. I was inspired by One Nail To Rule Them All, she is one of my favourite nail bloggers she is just so amazing. I am not entirely sure if this is a chrome but it is just so beautiful. I really loved it as it isn't a polish I would usually go for.

2018 Nail Resolutions | Overview

So 2018 has come to an end. I hope you all had a great 2018, but I really wish 2019 is much better and its full of happiness. Here I am talking you through my 2018 nail resolutions. Let's have a look all about it.

 

1. The Untried Year Will Be Carried On
I successfully carried on with my untried year, I used a total of 81 polishes which is crazy because a couple of years ago I would only have painted my nails weekly. Now I am doing challenges and doing my nails at every opportunity. I am sure this will happen again, doing them every weekend. But that's okay with me.

2. To take part in more collaborations
Well this one I certainly achieved. I took part in 2 mani swaps, 11 birthday collaborations. 1 awareness collab, 2 twin manis and 2 leaving work/starting new job. I can't believe how many I have actually done. I aim to do more awareness collabs in the year. I find them a really fun thing to do, I would love to find a charity to do it for.

3. To do more nail art challenges
I took pat in 3 nail art challenges in 2018. I absolutely love doing nail art challenges because it makes you do nail art that you would probably never usually do. I did 2 glam nails challenge and 1 nimy nails challenge.

4. To buy more indie brands, UK or American
In total I bought 35 indies, e.g Glam Polish. I am not sure if that is an indie brand but I have included it anyway. I don't use many indies, but I will attempt to use them more.

 

5. To try and do more stamping

Well this is a fail, I had a think maybe one or two manis where stamping was used in. I always say I am going to do it but just fail every time.

6. To try and do more on my blog

I say this every time, basically what I mean by this is to have a posting schedule. I want to be able to post at the same day of every month. This won't work because I rarely have posts ready. But I aim this is going to be the year where I get my life in order.

 

7. To use a variety of polish
I am not really sure if I did this, if I am honest. I'm awful at describing polishes so they are all cremes or holographics. There isn't much of an in between for me. I am sure I will get used to it.

 

8. To reach 800 instagram followers
For some reason in my notepad I wrote 600. So I am not sure what it was supposed to be ha-ha. To be honest I am nowhere near 700 let alone 800.

 

9. To try and take better pictures
No I didn't take any better pictures, I am thinking of buying myself a new iPad that could improve my pictures just a tad.

 

10. To get more kbshimmer polishes
I failed too, I currently have two. But I only bought one of those in 2018. I would really like to get more because they look so beautiful. Maybe if I can get polish pick up UK then I will do it.

Here is another currently wearing for you. This is my Christmas post for you. I know we are in January but when am I ever ahead with nail posts. Like never haha.

This is Primark Sky, I didn't like this polish at all. The brush was so strange, it wasn't good from primark. It needed to be cut, the polish was also quite thick which I hated. I might have to add some thinner for that polish. It is a shame because it is a gorgeous colour, I might have to sort out the brush actually. So this was for the glam nails challenge, a few cute mini candy canes. I am so happy with these. Then I had an accent nail which smudged so badly, I am so disappointed. Damn you top coat.

My 2019 Nail Resolutions

Here we go, my first blog post of 2019. I am here with my nail resolutions, I don't think I have ever been this early. I mean this is 'new year new me' joking of course. That saying cringes me out. But anyway, I hope you have all had a lovely new year.

1. To use 80+ polishes this year
Basically last year I used 80 untried nail polishes. I will be using the same amount hopefully. I think it was a huge achievement for me especially seeing as I did quite a lot of challenges last year.

 

2. To attempt to get better at stamping

Last year I failed at stamping, so this is why this is on my resolutions again. I have lots of new plates and I wish that it was a lot simpler than it seems. I see so many incredible stamping plates and it is my aim to get a few manis down with stamping.

3. To get my blog posts up on time

I basically failed in my eyes last year. I wanted everything posted so I could have a clean slate for 2019. But no I still have nail posts from 2018 that I still have to post.

4. Complete the 31 daily challenge (weekly version)

This is something I have wanted to do for years since I have been involved with my nail instagram. There is so many prompts that I would never dream to do usually. But this has been something I have wanted to do for ever.

5. To upload as much as I can on YouTube
Last year I finally decided to make my YouTube account, it was a big step for me. I do worry that the videos aren't good enough. I know people won't care what I post. But I want to actually stick to it, it will be huge if I manage to do it.

 

6. To finally get a prism polish

This has been one indie brand that I haven't got. I aim to get one of their charity polishes. I think they are such an amazing idea, if I had an indie brand I would love to make charity polishes.

7. To reach 100 YouTube subscribers
I currently have 7 which frankly is a bit disappointing. But getting to 100 is do able possibly. I would love to reach it. It is a huge amount but this would be so big for me and my little baby channel.

8. To remember to use cuticle oil

This might seem like a stupid one but I rarely use cuticle oil at all. I always forget. I will make sure my cuticles look good especially when I take photos, they occasionally look gross.

 

9. To try and work on sponging

This is meaning sponging gradients, I am absolutely awful. I will always manage to take the under layer off. So if it is a white base I will take the complete base off. It will look absolutely gross and I just don't get it.

 

10. To swatch polishes more instead of focusing on nail art

I have done so much nail art recently and I want to just use normal polish. So there might be a lot of swatching a few months. I do love nail art but I love just painting my nails.
